19 Action News is sci-fi indie rock from Cleveland.
19 Action News hails from the Capitol of Rock & Roll – Cleveland, Ohio. The band was formed in 2007 by Jacob Dahlke and Joshua Gardner. With nods to a wide variety of influences, 19AN has crafted out a unique and unforgettable sound that seamlessly blends rock and roll with elements of underground hip-hop and indie pop.
19 Action News’ debut album, Our Time Has Come is a sci-fi concept album. It explores an apocalyptic story about love, loss, space travel, and giant meteorites. 19AN followed up their debut with the Lost in Space EP, which contains out-takes and alternate versions of songs, mostly from the “Our Time has Come” sessions, which continue the story told on their debut album. In November 2009, the band released a whimsical-yet-macabre collection of Christmas songs: the Zombie Christmas EP.
In October 2010, 19AN released their second full-length studio album, The Future is Bright.
With energetic live shows, bizarre experimentation, and superb songwriting, 19 Action News is quickly carving a name for themselves as Cleveland’s premiere sci-fi indie rock band.
